Faux Woodgrain This mantel and surrounding, built-in entertainment center were painted in semi-gloss white. The clients wanted to restore a wood grain finish without having to strip off the old paint, so I was called in to paint a wood grain finish over the white. Their designer wanted to accent the mantel with black and gold to complement the fire screen, so I did.
